HELLO!!!

APRIL IS HERE!!!!!

I am so excited because I have set myself the challenge of trying out a different textiles technique every working day (mon-fri) for the rest of this month!You can follow me on instagram: etc.bytiffanydawson to see little snippets of my work each day or just check the blog to see all the images of what I get up to!!

So I started yesterday, with pleating. So I have done a bit of pleating before but I did try out some new techniques and I even got on my sewing machine! I have had a massive fear of the sewing machine ever since I had to use the industrial ones at university and I realized I couldn't sew in a straight line. However, I remembered that before that awful occasion I really enjoyed sewing and using my machine to do some arty textiles, therefore I got it out and dusted it down (It was disgusting!!!) and I used it to create some pleats! I hope you like them ... I realise they are nowhere near perfect but it was fun having a go and I think I will play around with this technique a lot more in the future :)
