finding treasures
As a costume designer/art lover I am constantly shopping looking for materials and trimmings for a cheaper price. During my search for my recent work on The Tempest Of Lyme I came across DORSET SCRAP STORE!! It is literally amazing!
The store is full of everything from rolls of fabric to puzzle pieces. There are tubs full of glitter and piles of old school books, bags of buttons and mountains of paint pots. If you have the time and imagination to rummage you can find everything/anything you might need for your next creation. The best thing is the price and the cause that goes with it. Its a non-profitable charity that collects companies left over stock and re-sells it so people can create amazing things. There is a small charge to become a member and then its up to you how many bags you fill.
This is literally my new favourite place and I hope you enjoy it if you get to visit :)
