Hello it is day 6 of A MONTH OF TEXTILES.
Yesterday marked 1 week of textiles samples and I am loving it. It is so fun to try something different everyday and it is really inspiring some of my other work too J
So yesterday was potato printing. I have done this technique on a blog post before so the only difference is that I printed on fabric this time. I am hoping to work into these with embroidery or applique to make them more textured but for now I really like them. Potato printing is so easy and fun so if you haven’t given it a go before it is worth a try.
To do this technique at home:
Cut a potato in half to have a flat edge.
Carefully cut into the potato to create a pattern.
Dip in paint and use like a stamp to print your pattern.
DONE.

Thanks for reading,
The next post will be Tuesday as I am having the weekend off and going again on Monday. Meanwhile there is a couple of posts with some exciting news coming your way tomorrow and Monday.
See you soon
