hello everybody :)

Going to get straight in there with what I have been loving in March...

1. Textiles

I am not new to textiles, as I used to do a lot of it at school and in my spare time but I had to put it to one side whilst I was finishing my degree, so I have absolutely loved getting back into surface design and texture. I am looking forward to really exploring techniques and pushing my skills in this area :)

2. Exploring

If you have seen any of my other blog posts this month, you may have noticed that a lot of them have been photos of my adventures. I have always enjoyed taking pictures and looking for interesting things to photograph but this month I have just gone crazy with my camera!! I have taken it everywhere with me and I have been going out purposefully looking for textures and shapes and things that will inspire my work and I am finding it so relaxing and fun. There will for sure be more pictures coming up :)

3. Street Art

Obviously in Berlin it is quite hard not to love street art... but it has inspired me to keep looking for it at home too. People do incredible things and there can be so much art and creativity in doodles and graffiti!

4. Exhibition Design

I have explained what KALEIDOSCOPE is in a different post so if you want to check that out please do :) Basically at the moment I am working on putting on an art exhibition and I am loving it. I am learning how to contact artists, how to exhibit work, how to curate, how to advertise an event, and how to plan an event. It is such an amazing opportunity and I have just been LOVING IT!!!
